Japan Sailing Ship Modeler’s Club Conference (JSMCC)

In 2004 The Rope took an initiative in expanding the ship modeling in Japan by organizing the Japan Sailing Ship Modeler’s Club Conference (JSMCC), putting 21 ship modeling clubs together for the mutual exchange of information and knowledge.

As a result, the JSMCC had its first very successful ship model exhibition held at the Tokyo Maritime Museum in 2009, where over 100 models from the 21 ship model clubs all over Japan were exhibited. The mutual exchange of ideas and methods of ship model construction has continued over the years since then.

JSMCC is directed by the three steering member clubs, The Rope, Yokohama Sailingship Modelers Club and The Rope Osaka.

As of June 2017, JSMCC consists of 17 clubs and 553 members are registered.
